Focus on Gratitude
First written in Jun 14, 2020
What are you grateful for today? Is it easy for you to see the gifts in your life? Or do you focus on distractions, the things that aren’t going your way?
We are in the midst of a series of unprecedented events, occurring simultaneously, and affecting everyone on earth. Emotions are high in our global family. And now, for the first time in history, we possess the technology to instantly communicate with each other in every corner of the earth and even 250 miles in orbit, to the International Space Station. We hold the power for positive change in our hands, quite literally. It’s simply a matter of where we focus our attention. Is the glass half-full or half-empty?
Gratitude is a show of appreciation. The glass might be half full or half empty but gratitude is being thankful there is a glass at all! It takes a shift in perspective and a bit of practice to feel gratitude throughout the day, especially in the most challenging moments.
Take a moment and think of someone, something, or someplace you are grateful for and notice how your heart feels. The more you focus on feelings of gratitude, the more you increase your heart energy. These higher vibrations act as a tuning fork in resonance with similar higher vibrations. You create more of what you are grateful for.
The choice is ours individually and societally to see and be grateful for the silver lining in every situation!
